Called democratic budgeting, the program adopted by four council members last year permits New Yorkers to propose and vote on the way to pay a number of their tax bucks. Four new Council members — David Greenfield (D-Brooklyn), Daniel Halloran (R-Queens), writer Levin (D-Brooklyn) and Mark Weprin (D-Queens) — proclaimed on that they are transfer the program to their communities.

New York City’s program is that the largest within the country. Last year, 2,000 residents joined twenty seven public conferences within the fall and winter, and quite half-dozen,000 New Yorkers voted on the comes in March.
